Petrol cut off saws are an extensively utilised piece of machinery utilised across a broad spectrum of industries including rail, construction, civil engineering, utilities maintenance and demolition.
Due to the nature of this machine it usually creates between 98 and 110 dBA. At these high-end noise levels it is essential to implement temporary noise control where possible. Due to petrol cut off saws being regularly used at varying locations the implementation of acoustic control has not always been easy. However, by utilising the SOUNDEX® Quick-Tech® Micro Barrier the saw and acoustic barrier can be moved with equal ease to each new location around the site. Where possible the other alternative to this is to localise your cutting into one area and to erect, or form an enclosure which can then be used as a cutting compound. This latter recommendation would be the most effective form of noise control but is understandably not always feasible which is when the Micro Barrier comes into its own.
